Iranian-Australian wedding at Borgo Divino, Tuscany

As a wedding photographer from Tuscany, I have had the pleasure of shooting many beautiful weddings in the region but this particular wedding was truly special. We “met” virtually in 2019 since the wedding was originally planned for 2020 but….you know what happened worldwide so we had to postpone to 2022. The couple is from Australia, but their families were from Iran, which made for a beautiful fusion of cultures and traditions.

The festivities kicked off with a welcome pizza party at the stunning Borgo Divino venue the day before the wedding and the guests were treated to some delicious pizza and they danced the night away under the Tuscan stars. It was the perfect way to start the celebrations and get everyone in the mood for the big day.

The wedding day itself was a beautiful affair. The couple looked absolutely stunning in their elegant attire and the ceremony was incredibly emotional. As a wedding photographer, I always try to capture those precious moments that are filled with love, and this ceremony was certainly one of those moments.

After the ceremony we had a short portrait session where we captured some romantic and intimate pictures of the newlyweds and the rolling hills of Montespertoli provided the perfect backdrop for these shots. Then it was time for some traditional dancing on the dancefloor, and the couple and their guests really knew how to get the party started.

The reception dinner was a cozy and relaxed affair, and it was clear that the couple had put a lot of thought and care into every detail of their wedding. The staff at Borgo Divino were amazing and really made the day run smoothly.

But the celebrations didn’t end there. The couple had planned a trash the dress session at dawn and I was excited to be a part of it. We started shooting in the country close to Montespertoli, which was almost in front of my studio, before heading to the deserted streets of Florence. The light was absolutely perfect, and we were able to capture some truly breathtaking shots.

I have to give a special thanks to the wedding planner Marilena Zambelli for planning such a perfect wedding. It was truly an honor to be a part of this three-day celebration, and I am so grateful to have been able to capture these precious moments for the couple to cherish for years to come.
