This Canadian–Dutch wedding at Terre di Nano was a perfect example of why so many international couples choose Tuscany and Val d’Orcia for their destination wedding. Set among rolling hills and iconic landscapes, Terre di Nano offered a stunning and intimate setting for a day filled with light, emotion, and genuine connection.
The wedding took place on a very sunny day in Val d’Orcia, with clear skies and warm tones that defined the atmosphere from the start. The couple chose a simple and quick ceremony, intentionally skipping the exchange of rings to keep the moment focused on their commitment rather than formalities. The ceremony was emotional, honest, and deeply personal, exactly the kind of wedding that translates beautifully into natural photography.
After the ceremony, the day flowed effortlessly into aperitifs and heartfelt speeches. Friends and family shared words that added depth and meaning to the celebration, creating a relaxed and joyful atmosphere. Nothing felt rushed, and everyone had the time to truly enjoy being together.
We then took just 15 minutes for a sunset photoshoot, which was more than enough. Terre di Nano and Val d’Orcia offer exceptional light and open views, and knowing how to work quickly and efficiently is essential as a wedding photographer in Tuscany. Those few minutes at sunset allowed us to create a complete and authentic couple session without taking the couple away from their guests for long.
It was also a pleasure to work again with Screenshot Production, a talented and professional video team. When photography and videography are aligned, the experience becomes smoother for the couple and the final storytelling is stronger.
This wedding reflects my approach as a destination wedding photographer in Tuscany: adapting to the day, respecting its rhythm, and focusing on real moments rather than rigid timelines. For couples planning a wedding in Terre di Nano or Val d’Orcia, and looking for a photographer with experience, local knowledge, and a natural storytelling style, this day is a great example of what’s possible here.
