A few months ago I had the pleasure of shooting an engagement session right in the heart of Florence with a beautiful American couple.
From the very first minutes we got along easily, one of those rare situations where everything flows without forcing anything. The light, the streets, their connection, my way of working: every choice we made felt right. And when that happens, you feel it while shooting.

A classic route, seen differently

We followed what I’d call a classic tour of mine through Florence. Places I know deeply, streets I’ve walked hundreds of times, at first as a child growing there and later with couples from all over the world.
But instead of repeating clichés, we focused on angles, timing, and small variations — a step to the side, waiting for the right light, using reflections, shadows, or clean backgrounds to get the very best out of iconic spots.

That’s the difference between being in Florence and knowing Florence.

It turned into one of the best engagement sessions I’ve shot in recent years — relaxed, elegant, intimate and full of personality.
