AN AUSTRALIAN INTIMATE WEDDING AT CASTELLO DI BADIA

There’s something special about photographing an intimate wedding—everything feels closer, more meaningful, more real. This beautiful Australian couple chose Castello di Badia for their celebration, and it couldn’t have been a better fit.

The day started quietly, with the getting ready taking place inside the castle rooms. Soft light filtering through the windows, calm emotions, and that unique mix of excitement and intimacy that only small weddings seem to have. It’s in these moments that the story really begins, and having the time and space to photograph them without rushing is always a gift.

The ceremony was held near the pool, under a pergola that kept everyone cool and comfortable. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, the couple shared a deeply touching ceremony. The connection between them was obvious, natural, strong, and effortless. Those are the kinds of moments that don’t need direction; they simply need to be observed and captured.

After the ceremony, we took advantage of the calm rhythm of the day for a relaxed couple photoshoot around the castle, before dinner. No stress, no pressure—just a walk, a few laughs, and time to enjoy being newly married. As always, Castello di Badia offered endless corners, textures, and views, making every frame feel unique.

The evening continued with dinner in the castle courtyard, followed by celebrations in the main hall.

A perfect balance of elegance and warmth, exactly what an intimate wedding should feel like.

For me, photographing weddings at Castello di Badia feels like playing at home. I know every corner, every light change, every hidden spot—and it’s always a pleasure to work in a place that feels so familiar and welcoming.

Long live intimate weddings, long live the castle, and long live the Prince who hosts us so graciously.
