What\u2019s the best way for a photographer to explore<\/strong> a new place? I think it\u2019s shooting pictures<\/strong> and so I had the chance to meet Amanda & Kyle and to shoot some pictures with them on the old Las Vegas strip<\/strong>, Fremont Street.<\/p>\n

Coming from the old continent I was amazed everywhere in\u00a0Las Vegas, it\u2019s very\u00a0different from my beloved Florence in so many ways but I have to admit that it\u2019s one of its kind<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

After 3 days spent at WPPI<\/strong> mentoring, having Q&A<\/strong> live sessions at Rangefinder Magazine\u2019s booth<\/strong>, talking to people,\u00a0having meetings<\/strong> with brands<\/strong> and companies I wanted to have a couple of free days just to enjoy<\/strong> the city so\u00a0I walked miles and miles along the strip and then I went scouting on Fremont Street<\/strong> (the first Las Vegas strip) since I thought that I would have loved shooting in such a peculiar place.<\/p>\n

And so I did.<\/p>\n

It was very fun and different<\/strong> from what I am used to since I think most people knows me for my use of natural light at weddings but I wanted to challenge<\/strong> myself shooting in a new environment with new techniques (at least for couple shootings). I shot most of the pictures with a Sony A7III<\/strong>, a Zeiss 35mm 1.4<\/strong> (wide open) and a triggered Godox V1<\/strong> off camera\u00a0with my brand new Kobra Flash Modifier<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>(Except the last 3 pictures)<\/p>\n

Let me talk you for a second about the flash modifier<\/strong>\u00a0since I appreciated it a lot:<\/p>\n

it\u2019s very quick<\/strong> and easy to use<\/strong>, it\u2019s silicon made so you can fold it<\/strong> easily in your bag or even in a pocket (like I did) and the light won\u2019t spread everywhere, you can keep it very directional<\/strong> and for me this is a must.<\/p>\n

I met them at WPPI booth<\/strong> and I loved the product<\/strong> and their enthusiasm<\/strong> so we connected easily and I could have my first shooting with Kobra Flash Modifier<\/strong> later that night.<\/p>\n

When used on your flash (if you are on TTL<\/strong>) just remember to add +2 as compensation since diffusing and bouncing will cut about 2 stops<\/strong> but that\u2019s more than ok since you can get very natural results<\/strong> if you want.<\/p>\n
