Northern elegance in Tuscany – Wedding in Borgo Stomennano

I live and work in a lucky area, not so many places attracts people from all over the world as Tuscany does and I think this is one of the key to keep getting better and better in this job since we happen to work with so many different cultures.

In late september I had the chance to be the photographer at Pernille and Henrik‘s wedding in the majestic Borgo Stomennano, one of the most beautiful wedding location in Tuscany, a Villa founded in XIII century surrounded by our beautiful Tuscan country and with a special view on Monteriggioni (a gem you need to discover in person, trust me).

Pernille and Henrik are a very cool and elegant couple from Denmark and Germany, I did’t use the word elegant by accident, they really are and it’s not something related to the dresses or the accessories, that’s just how they look, how they move, how they relate with people. I was really happy to have met them some days before the wedding to “break the ice” and to talk about the wedding day in person, it helped a lot.

Shooting details in such a beautiful Villa was a pleasure and so it was also shooting the ceremony, despite the harsh light of mid afternoon everybody could feel the good vibes from them, thanks also to Gemma , the celebrant that married them with a very emotional symbolic ceremony.

The couple shooting was quick and fun (we had some very good laugh working with all the statues and stuff in the villa) then we moved to the aperitif area for the cutting of the cake and a wet toast (you will see from the pictures why I said wet) .

After some shot in photoboot arranged by the legendary Leandro on his Vintage Van  it was dinner time under the trees, a very romantic setting (thanks also to the great job of Flowers Living) for such an elegant wedding.

One of the moments where I usually have more fun is during dances and this time it was a blast with DJ Ed Gillum, we created some cool light and then it was time for the first dance, one of my favourite shot of the season was shot in this moment.

All this beautiful wedding was planned by Simona and Alice from SuperTuscan Wedding Planner, and it was just perfect, as usual so….thank you all for being a great team that day!
