“Ladies and Gentlemen please welcooooooooooome Mohammed “Maravillaaaaaaaaaa” Obbadi”   Mohammed is the actual European Flyweight boxing champion and I had the pleasure to met him and shot some portrait before he started his daily training. He’s not just a champion, he’s also a very nice person too and I was amazed about his humbleness. Let’s go champ!   More pictures will follow once the photoshoot will be on paper 😉

Trash the dress in Florence

Have you ever been to Florence ? If you haven’t I can only tell you that you NEED to visit the city, you’ll love it for sure. if you have…..have you ever walked in the desert streets at dawn ? That’s the best way to appreciate our magnificent city without thousands of people and most of all with the quiet sound of the Arno river while you walk through Ponte Vecchio. The couple that hired…

Hello guys   I took this picture yesterday morning and it’s part of a “trash the dress” shooting I was asked to shoot the morning after the wedding. We shot at dawn and, as usual, Florence was at its best with no people and an amazing light that helped me to come back home with some very good pictures. I will post the entire shooting in the next day, meanwhile I will show you the first…

Working with a champion

what can I say ? this 2017 seems to be the year of champions ! 2 days ago I had the chance to work with another boxing champion, Mohammed Obbadi, the actual flyweight european champion. I met him in front of the gym and I really appreciated the man from the start, he’s a really nice and kind person and I’m always amazed about how humble a real champion is. Mohammed and his “maestro” showed me…

Hi guys   Yesterday I had a day off for easter holiday and we went for a pic-nic along the Pesa river. While I was resting on the ground I looked up and I saw a lot of pollen coming our from the trees, it looked like it was snowing so I grabbed the camera and took the shot. For the nerds: shot with a nearly 40 years old Panagor 135 2.8 lens on a fuji…

Hi guys   This is one of my oldest shot (I think I shot this just after 3-4 months I bought my first digital reflex camera), the model helped a lot with her beauty and her skills, actually I would shot it a little different buy I’m still proud of this picture and it still has room in my portfolio. (shot with Nikon D7000 and 50mm f1/.4 D)   I hope you like it and…

Engagement in Bolgheri and Castiglioncello

Here we go again with another engagement session in Tuscany ! Sara and Claudio are a couple that will get married in July in Florence and hired me to be their wedding photographer. They agreed to hire me also for an engagement session and we planned to do it in a place where they use to spend their holidays, Castiglioncello and Bolgheri (home of Sassicaia wine www.sassicaia.com). We had fun, we had a nice italian ice cream…

welcome back ! This is was of my first portrait works from 2013, it was shot with my old nikon d700 and 50mm f1.8, I think this was mixed light (ambient+strobe). I’ve always enjoyed this mood and I think you can still find some of “this” photographer in my actual works 4 years later. Einstein said that “Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed from one form to another“, I think it…

do you know David Garrett ? David is a great Violinist (http://www.david-garrett.com) and he came to Florence a couple of years ago, I was there with my trusty old Fuji x100s and I shot this simple picture just to have a memory of that concert. I think mirrorless are perfect for this kind of events.

Good morning! This is a a shot I took a couple of weeks ago helping Silvia (my working partner) in one of her weddings. This was an Indian Wedding and we had a lot of fun since this felt so different to western weddings, it offered a lot of chances for good pictures. (Nikon D750 – Nikon 85mm)

Engagement in Cinque Terre

Hi guys! Engagement season is at its peak so this time I want to show you a different location, outside Tuscany, and I’m pretty sure you all know it. Cinque Terre.   Martina and Simone are a couple from Tuscany that will get married in september, we agreed to have also an engagement photoshoot and, since they will marry in the classic tuscany country, we decided to travel a little for a wonderful sea…

Film Photography Monday – 03/04/17

here we go with another Film Photography Monday ! this picture came out funny due to a camera/flash bad synch, the background seems to be somewhat painted with stripes but those are just the shutter  curtains caught on film, it felt strange once I got it back from the lab but I ended liking this shot a lot.   Mamiya 645 1000s – 210mm f4 – portra 400 120 film
